The Rambo 4 movie was a super hit but the knife used in the movie failed to make an impact as strong as the ones made by the Rambo 2 and 3 knives or the first blood survival knife. Story Behind the Rambo 4 Knife

The story behind the knife is the fact that Rambo by chance loses his old Rambo three knife in the jungle during a combat. In order to survive, Rambo goes on to make his own survival knife using an iron leaf. Rambo forges a crude looking blade using the iron leaf and then makes a handle by wrapping it with green paracord. This gives the knife an extremely old fashioned and primitive look.

This knife was in reality designed by the knife maker Gil Hibben who went on to make around hundred original knifes for the Rambo part 4 movie. The size of the knife was eighteen inches with the blade size being around twelve inches making this knife a monster when it comes to size. As for the thickness, the Rambo 4 knife blade was one quarter inch thick. The knife was made from D2 carbon steel and had a full tang. The handle of the knife has paracord wrapped around it which is covered with a waterproof grip tape.

Price of the Knife

As of now United Cutlery is the only company that has license to produce original Rambo 4 knives. The price of the knife could vary anywhere around $1000 to $2500 based on the make and the place of purchase.
